    HID Fog Lights

I just took out my Halo Fogs and put in my stock fog lights that house the 899 size bulb. I want to get a set of HID foglights (899). I was browsing on ebay and I didnt know that they have 899 size style fog lights. Is it true lol? I think i might pick them up Here is the link i was looking at:

893 and 899 are the same. It's just that the base is different, 1 has a right angle and the other is straight. Nycking23 has hid's in his stock fogs. I don't remember what size they are though

But don't you think that the stock plastic fogs will get too hot and start to bubble?

I thought HID runs cooler than halogens?

Yeah I'm thinking about a 6000K kit as well. Any input would be much appreciated

they do. they run at 35 watts. But I think the stock fog light bulbs are less than 25 watts.

I dunno. I don't think hids get as hot as regular bulbs do. I for one bubbled out the lenses on the stock foglights when I had my stock front bumper, but I believe the bulbs were 55 watts or maybe more.

are you running a harness for the fogs or just connecting things with the plug n play kit?

where'd you tuck the big ass ballasts n all that

  19. #19
ballast is ziptied to the ballast for the headlights and they are mounted behind the headlights. the wires are long enough to reach down to the fogs

I like the sound of that, brand and price? Did you get them off ebay or somewhere else? 3000K is definitely the route to go for the fogs.
