    Bedliner covered sti

i was looking at duplicolor's website and came across these pics

and i got interested in what it might look like

    so i went searching online

    and found this

apparently its covered in dulicolors spray on bedliner and it came out pretty nice its a cool idea for a rally car i would have to see it in person to make a final judgement but overall its a kind of cool idea

this is the owners thread about the job

the only downside I can see is the weight, but it shouldnt be much, maybe 30lbs.

Wow, I guess that would be cool on something not as expensive as an STi.

I know someone who would be all over that.

I'd imagine him saying something like "I'd never have to wash it again, not that I do now."

But yeah, it actually looks pretty good.

Not bad. Looks like it's capable of absorbing radar signals!

Didn't know what bed liner was.. so I searched it..
Thats actually kind of neat.. but I'd rather get a proper paint job.

good idea for a rally car, but aren't they usually covered in with sponsors anyway?

    damn.

a few of us were joking the other day on GF.com about spraying an entire galant with rhinoliner haha

If you post stupid and incorrect information, you will get red nuggets.

There was a issue of Sport Compact Magazine last year that did the same thing on a new 07 STi. They sanded the car down in a garage and repainted flat black with over the counter Duplicolor flat black paint and it turn out really nice. Though I would of probably never thought to use bedliner paint though...but its probably more durable than regular paint.

Exactly and that is why Civic owners get a bad reputation. :D
