they are cornering flood lights. when u put ur signal indicator on, the side that u are signaling to should light up steady. probably the reason you haven't noticed them ever being on is because you are inside the car when they go on, never outside to witness it. as cornering lights, both sides should never be on at the same time (unless you could turn in 2 directions at once, haha).

    Nice ride man,

I know that car.... is that you Johnny ?

As Reelax said, the outer lights will only light up while you're indicating on that side.
Also, remove the old headunit and move the pioneer one up, then put a pocket underneath it, we got them at my work, they're about $30.

Dude the VR-4s of the same year have the exact same bodykit - yours is a facelift model and has the same kit as the facelift VR-4. Vientos are meant to look like VR-4s but with a more conservative engine.

I drove one of them for about 500kms and I found it to be quite economical considering the engine size and the weight of the car. Mind you it was mostly open road driving from Hamilton to close to Wellington. Wasn't the most powerful car in the world though. I've been looking out for a facelift EA3A for my folks, they want to upgrade their trusty Sigma they've had since new :P

I had a look this morning before work while it was still semi dark and it does exactly that :D soo cool lol

    yup tis me :D

And as i said i cant get the screws outta the side of the old headunit so i just pulled the pocket out and put it in the boot and put the new one in its plates... its also why i want a new set of plates to mount it in

    That's because a '96 is pre-facelift while a '98 is a facelift model. You catch me?

The pre-facelift Vientos look equally as yuck as the pre-facelift VR-4s.

I have to ask, is the GDi a diesel model or what?

I've been around Mitsus for almost all my life and I still don't know what the GDi designation stands as?
