Exciting huh? Did you enjoy signing all those papers during closing?

In the end you became a home owner and finally have a place that is YOURS and not paying someone else to live in. Congratulations to you both and hope you enjoy your new happy home.

    thank you thank you
    closing went well.
we found out as they moved their stuff out that we are going to have to paint a lot more than we expected originally. It's all good though, we are going to repaint the entire condo. We started to do some painting yesterday and we 1/2 way done with the MB and BR in the MB. I also changed some locks yesterday. I am working tonight and tomorrow night, so I will be going to do more work on Friday. My fiance is going there tonight with a friend of hers and they are going to do some more painting in the MB. The goal right now is to have the MB fully painted and vacummed and carpet shampooed by Saturday afternoon when the mattress gets delivered.

and for anyone that has to paint this thing rocks

I am assuming that is for painting the higher parts of the walls or ceilings? Used something similar when I repainted my cathedral ceilings with the same "no drips or spills" feature..but you will get some.

^^ the roller was great for painting the walls altogether. We didn't paint any ceilings. I don't think we need to.

had to do more painting then we originally planned
we been painting more and more this last week
    we are pretty close now
just gotta paint closet in MB
    entire 2nd bedroom
and looks like we are going to paint lower portion of dining room too
the people were smokers so most of the place yellowed cause of it
and the smell is in the carpet
I havent noticed it since the 1st day or 2 of working in there
but my fiance has asthma and she can tell
so we are going to solve that problem
we also went furniture shopping last weekend
and we are expecting our bedroom set and living room stuff in 2-4 weeks
and out mattress was delivered last Saturday
and prolly next weekend we are going to begin moving stuff from her parents house and my parents house there depending on if everything is then in move in condition
I will post up some pics as soon as we are all done.

sounds like its moving along pretty well jay...i hear you though over the summer my uncle bought a small summer house by me and the previous owner was a slob as well as a chain smoker....we revovated the entire house pretty much.... before we painted obviously we cleaned down everything, a few sprays of simple green and you can see the yellow tar running down the walls it was pretty disgusting, the carpets were nasty as well... we ditched all of them an refloored the whole house( except the main living room which we will be doing this year before the summer comes) im sure his was much more a project then yours but i can relate to that lol

anyways good luck with the rest of everything

Damn, Craig you just reminded me we forgot to get simple green while at home depot the other day. Gotta remind my fiance to get it tomorrow when she goes.
So far we used a mixture of um amonia, vinegar, water and baking soda to clean the walls and ceilings and you can definitely see the dirt and tar run. She also put bowls of vinegar around the place that is supposed to absorb the smell. And also baking soda sprinkled on the carpet, and then vacumed up. We are also going to shampoo all the carpeting, so far we have done the master bedroom twice. The carpet is pretty clean. So we are going to keep that. She had a friend over last night that said the smell has gotten better, and that she was only able to smell the smokey smell in the 2nd bedroom, so I guess we are doing a good job so far.
    thanks bro

It's been a rough 2 weeks. Me painting and what not from when I woke up in the afternoon until 4:30 in the morning. And my fiance losing sleep as well heading to the condo after she got out of work and working for a few hours, But we are officially done painting and repairing some stuff. All carpeting is vacummed and shampooed as well.
All that remains is cleaning the 2 bathrooms and the kitchen. And installing new receptacles, switches, switch plates and outlet covers.
And we are moving in on Satuday. Woot Woot.
I will take some pics over the weekend of how we painted the place.

damn that sounds so familiar. i painted everything, cleaned and shampooed the carpets, installed new outlets, faceplates, etc... every night for almost a month after work. it can really start to take a toll on you. its not easy work.

congrats again, hope the move in goes well :)

we moved in on Saturday..thanks a lot to Roman
    and have done some unpacking
got cable, phone and internet today.
sofa, love seat, end tables and coffee table, and bedroom set are to be delivered on Thursday
1 wall of the master bedroom
Painted a greenish color (carriage door) for crown molding
And lower ½ of wall under chair rail
And a tannish color (Pebble path) for top half of wall as well as chair rail and lower molding

    Other wall in master bedroom
Don’t mind the white spot don’t know why that came up in pic

    Bathroom in bedroom
Painted same color scheme as bedroom

1 side of 2nd bedroom this was painted mochachinno walls and molding at the floor

    Other side of 2nd bedroom

1 wall of the living room
Painted same color as the tannish in master bedroom (pebble path)

Accent wall in living room painted a brown

Same wall and closet in living room painted pebble path

Foyer and laundry area doors painted pebble path also

    Kitchen painted white (igloo)
