I am waiting for the auto with the paddle shifters and that is 35999 with about 5K on the dealer markup. I am waiting too for the markup to go down. The GSR 5 speed is starting at 32995. I believe the Ralliart which is still a good deal for the money goes for around 25k-26k, and that comes with AWD.

man the evo makes that civic look like sh*t IMO

and I think it looks better without the wing too. They made it too round this time and it doesn't quite match the sharp body lines

Went to get my oil changed today & saw the EVO X. Sick looking car but the dealer wanted $41K & would not let me test drive it unless he:

    1) did a credit check
    2) had a $5k deposit
    3) signed a letter of intent to buy the car.

That is how most dealers are with Evos, when the 9 came out they wouldnt let me drive it until I reached into my pocket and showed them the cash.

Stopped by the Concord Mitsubishi and checked out the Red Evo X they had in the showroom, unfortunately I only had my camera phone (click for larger pics):

    It was the GSR Model.
    $32,990 Base
    $36,054 +Options
    $41,053 +Dealer Markup

It seemed very well constructed. The interior was nice, but still on the cheapo plasticy side. The Recaro seats were very very nice. Was interesting that the battery now resides in the trunk, along with the washer fluid reservoir, and what looked like a brake fluid reservoir.

Dealer said they had already sold one.

I can't wait to hear what consumers have to say about this car once they've had it for a while. I'm starting to think that this car is waaaaaaaaaaayyy overrated and hyped, like many things...

Is the Ralliart coming for sure? I had heard it was a possibility. If so how many horsepower? Will it have the DSG tranny as an option?

I drove by the Mitsu dealer on my way to Home Depot and they had 6 Evos out front, I stopped and took some pics which I will post up tomorrow. They even had a blue Evo with a bodykit on it already. Also the "Adjustment for Demand" was 1995.00 which was not bad at all. Asking price ranged from 32995 to 38995 which included the site and sound package. I am still holding out on the MR though.
