    Dohc ?

I still have not made up my mind about what to do with my car yet. But this might be a silly question. So I know the 1G DOHC has better air flow, but cosmetically I like the look of the 2G head cover (stupid I know). I was wondering can I get a 1G head and put the 2G head cover on it? Or is that just a newb question. Oh and another question....would there be any real difference in performace, 1G vs 2G without any other mods...i.e. just the head swap? If I remember correctly...no, but just in case

i like the clean smooth top of the hyundai. but i hate the font the letters are in.

    as far as headflow:

    the 1g has more flow.

    but
once the 2g head is ported to match the 1g intake gasket. the 2g head flows more AND makes more power.... through a better entry angle into the cylinder.

So then without any porting the best bet...staying as stock as possible anyway, the 1G would be the way to go then. Thanx

Depends on how far you are wanting to go with your project. If your staying NA, Id probably stick with an unported 2g head. If your going turbo then 1g head.
    7g for life!

    Four flavours to choose from..

    1G 4g63
    2G 4g63
    4g67
    4g61

The 1G/2G have combustion chambers at 47cc .
The 4G67/4G61 have combustion chambers at 43cc.
The 1G and 4G67 have the same intake ports.
The 2G and 4G61 have about the same intake ports.

The 4G67/4G61 heads will increase compression by .4 to .5 points.
Small intake ports intend to generate more torque than large intake ports,
larger intake ports intend to generate more top end hp than smaller ports.

A decent dohc head especially from the 4g67/4g61 can be find as low as 90 bucks on car-parts.
