    new brakes

hey guys and girls im turning to you for help again. I need to replace my brakes soon and i was looking to upgrade. I am wondering what the difference is between regular stock rotors and slotted rotors are. and if you have any suggestions for brands that are better than others that would help.

Slotted rotors help dissipate heat better and are also supposed to perform better in wet conditions.

In oem size I'd also suggest BAER Decela and Powerslot.

Oh God, did you read this on eBay? Do you realize water simply vaporizes as soon as it even touches the brake system (be it calipers, pads, rotors) under heavy braking? The slots on the rotor aren't going to help any unless you're freaking driving through a pond.

Not on ebay...but i did read it somewhere. I havent performed any experiments myself and thats why i didnt say i was sure about that. Furthermore, your rotors are not always consistently hot enough to evaporate water. Therefore i am sure the slotted rotors at times do perform better in wet conditions (no matter how negligible it may be). And if you are driving through a pond i am sure the last thing you need to worry about is your braking.
