    won't idle

so i was bringing my girl friend home, and hit a patch of rocks. tires spun, traction control came on, then hit dry pavement. tcl off indicator came on and so did service engine soon light. so i kept driving and i noticed if i let off the gas the engine let off r p ms really quickly and abruptly, and if i got back on it just barely the car would jerk. felt like i was in to low of a gear but it was in fourth doing fifty so it should not have done that. When i hit a stop sign the car idled rough, battery light came on, and the it died. started back up with my foot on the gas to keep the r p ms up. got to my house and the engine felt as if it was knocking really badly, and smoke was coming out of my exhaust. Any clue on how to fix this? possibly a blown spark plug? oh an b t w, i can't find my spark plugs! where are they located? i can find them easily on my chevy but not my galant. any help would be appreciated yall!
