WOW! The pics here are totally amazing!
I'm gonna try it myself soon, I need to do some more reading, watch tutorials, and get that Photomatix app.

Here is my first attempt at HDR. It sucks, but I'm going to keep reading and practicing until I get better.

Yeah, I tried it too but my pics came out like it would if I just adjusted the curves on the pic in Fireworks or Photoshop. I'm going to try again later when I reinstall CS3, but HDR is cool

Someone should start a "Post HDR pics as your car sits now" thread. :)

Thanks Unlimited. I did a few more shots today. I have not had time to work on any of them except for this one. I know it looks fake, but I thought it looked cool.

I have been reading a few different tutorials today and they shoot between 5 and 6 photos and then merge them. Do you get more detail in the image using 5 or 6 photos rather than if you just used 3 different exposures? I cant tell how the quality of the pictures differ since I can only view these pages on my blackberry while I'm on the rode. I have been shooting photos all day while I'm stuck in this hotel. I should have a lot of pics to work on when I get back home.

I dont know about using 5-6 pictures you can try it and see how it comes out... i use a DSLR and shoot in raw mode, regular point and shoot cameras image processors usually mess up the the image of your going to make a HDR picture... when you shoot in raw mode you get much more detail... UAL Tripple 7 what kind of camera are you using.

You can use as many as 9 pic. You just use 9 different exposures. For the P&S guys, its easier if you shoot RAW then just change the exposure using the RAW software and save as giving you 3 or more exposures

I'm using a Sony DSC-H9 right now until I can buy a DSLR. I just got back from downtown Seattle and I took a ton of pics. I took a lot of pics on top of Queen Ann Hill of the city with the water in the foreground and the mountains in the background. I can't wait to upload them onto my computer and start merging them.
