    Gauges

what sort of gauges do you all have ?

ide like to do something with mine, but im not sure what... tomorow im gonna take a look at the inside of the gauges and see if its worth getting the clear front gauges...

is there another way to tell the idle speed... i popped my needle off and forgot to mark the idle, so i think its about 200 rpms off, but ide like to put it in the right place

im thinking about something like these...
    too tacky ?

Keeping mine stock, just changing the bulbs to hyper whites to get rid of the dingy off-white color.
Your engine should idle somewhere between 650 and 800.

i have the stock whiteface gtz gauges
although not installed yet i also have autometer ultra-light cf boost and oil pressure gauges for my upcoming s/c build i also have to pick up a gauge for the wideband as well

i may eventually change the stock gauge faces to a cf one to match the others though...but not worried about that untill after everythings in

my car is idleing around 800 rite now, but my needle says 1000... i guess ill just estimate where it should be... unless someone knows a second way to tell the RPM... and im not gonna try to sit there and count...

I don't know what you're doing to the car in the long run, but there are other devices that can read the RPMs based on the electrical signal.

Mechanics can read the RPM's using a little computer device if you really want to be accurate.

yea, so i saw those awesome gauges, and im like, thats what im doing, then i realized it wasnt 7g...

i dont really wanna get a tach... forgive the pun, but its tacky... ESPICALLY considering im driving an automatic

i could always get 1 and use it for what i need, then return it... if i ever get a manual ide put a tach in it, but def. not in an auto... looks like my needle will bo off for a while... owell

    * wants those s7 gauges :| *

EDIT: is there any place that i can get a digital speedo ? are those little compooterz accurate ? the think that you suction cup to the windshield, and all you need to do is put it in the lighter... ide like one of those, to know the 0-60, 1/4et, and all that fun stuff... but i dont wanna spend all that for something that is "kinda accurate"

what size LED is it ?
i was thinking of doing that, cuz then it would at least match the color of everything else in the car :)

there's gotta be a way how autotechnic can make a custom design s7 gauge for the 7G. Or maybe someone here can do the design ;)

I have the gray reverse el Bombz gauges. Think they were limitted production run as I saw them on eBay for a short time then they stopped carrying them. Couldnt tell you if I had pics of them or not.
