i am thinking about getting a turbo for my car and i have been reading some of the old posts and everyone has been saying that the stock 7g trans is very weak and it wont be able to withstand the boost from a turbo.is there any transmission from a car that will fit good and be able to withstand the boost. im thinking of boosting it at probably 8 psi...thanks guys...

You have 2 options for a stronger tranny.
1. Have the stocker rebuilt with stronger internals at a place like IPT.
2 Get a 2g eclipse turbo AT tranny and TCU. I'm not sure if anyone as done this swap, but I would imagine that the TCU would need to be rewired.

Just do a 5 speed swap. Its a waste of money to have the trany rebuild in my opinion, cause the auto tranny can hold up pretty well in a boosted car. Just install a tranny cooler to help it last longer.
