    History of Turbo/Supercharged 8G V6 Galants

    I'm in the process of updating the 6G72 section of the Galant Wiki:

    And am trying to include a history of all the boosted V6 8Gs. So far I have:

    myself (DryBear)
    JetBlack
    Leicoolya
    VegasMatt (RIPP Removed noted)
    WarmAndSCSI (RIPP Removed noted)

    I recall there was one other person who had the RIPP system, but cant find the posts (most likely have been lost during the transition)

    i myself am in the process of installing a ripp custom setup on my gtz which will forego in the next few months (although i guess you cant count me because its not on yet lol)

    the other guy off the top of my head is from jersey i believe its t-4 but his is an sds i4 setup his is gold if i remember

    how come boosted galants never go to the strip? i have yet to see quarter mile times from anyone

    Yeah but did Clay ever get his Galant running with the turbo?

    I remember the very first guy who went to Ripp to get his installed, I was right behind him by a few weeks.

    Clay did have his running, but it was a 4g63t swap. Last I heard he had it apart rebuilding the trans. Idk, havent talked to that cat in ages.

    i dont think you are paying attention then because warmandscsi and i go to the track as frequent as possible. he has seen some good numbers for this altitude but not what he wants and the tracks (RMR and Wendover raceway) suck. rmr is never prepped and wendover might as well be located in the middle of the street somewhere.

    drybear, supposedly there is another v6t galant running around in slc but tim and i have yet to find him. it may just be a track car because no one that has seen at the track has seen it on the streets, or maybe its broken all the time IDK.

    yeah I forgot his name. He was from the Bronx. I saw him 2 years back at a MD meet. He was supercharged I believe, and then he went turbo. I believe the last saw that galant it was for sale on craigs list.

    yeah he still has his galant. He has been busy with school I believe. He is an I4 I believe. Edit: Davin is definitely an I4. He was the first I4 supercharged galant. I was going to be the prototype, and then I backed out after learning how much it would cost me and how much abuse my car would have to take.

    there was also another galant up in CT. It was a Ripp Superchaged GTZ. I don't remember the guys name though, he was a member on here many years ago.
