Yesterday and today I've been working on removing entire wire harness to swap it out. Mine has a bad short somewhere and I'm not about to go searching everywhere for it. I will swap engine and transmission soon. I also got my Ingalls front and rear camber kit today.
Old harness out of my 99
Doing more research on this sunroof swap thing.
Looks like Im swaping this too since I have to pull it out anyway.
Ingalls Camber kit/ Front & Rear
The new harness that will go on my daily. Yes, that is the same harness that goes on the passanger side starting with headlights and turn signal, wraps around the top of the fender, goes inside the car. Pull it out the other side, and disconnect some more, if you ask me it's a PITA but I want my car in good working order, I have the donor car so why not and it's the bast way to learn, so here I am.
Just chillin'

Today I painted the bumper grill black and the trim pieces. I also washed the back seat and cleaned and started the stereo wiring.

Yes I painted them, they were grey/silver. I just used Duplicolor, out of can. I used it on my last trim pieces and lasted over 4+ years. Just have to let them sit and not be touched for at least two weeks, let them cure really good.

yup, thats the plan anyway. The interior will be a sweet upgrade from that crap that was in there before. Tomorrow Im swaping the rear drum to the disc.
nice! you had the control arm and everything you were just going to swap out and hook up right? * curious* are you going to paint your car pearl white? or just going to color match the bumper to the cayenne red?

I have the white trunk from the 01 too and here in couple of months, I will paint the entire car back to Cayenne red pearl. I love that color.
I think it will look great in that color, something different you know?

Im planning on cleaning my carpet and trunk carpet, how did you go about cleaning it and where did you get the extraction cleaner. Did you just scrub it?

That carpet cleaner is professional. My Buddy works for a carpet cleaning company and got me some. But do this since you cant get that. Place the carpet on the ground and soak it really good. Get a bottle of stain remover and soak the carpet with it, now get a semi raspy brush and scrub, and scrub, rinse till there's no more foam coming out. Now go get some laundry detergent and repeat process. Not only it will clean it but it will smell nice and clean. Get some bungee cords and get the carpet on a fence or whatever you have, the idea is to have it like on a wall so when you use the hose with some kind of pressure the water runs off. You know what I'm talking about?? I would get up early and have the carpet ready to go, this way you catch the warm sun in the afternoon to dry it, if it's hot enough, it will dry in couple of hours. The back side will take longer because it's thick . So plan to let it dry for an entire day.
