few things added to my G...

just got the VIS CF hood from cbuster last week. i like it, gotta sand/finish/paint it though, but i'm happy i got a good deal on it. here a few pics....

i'm hoping to fix it up after this semester (or whenever i can find a good paint shop nearby) and maybe match the hood color to my car... we'll see

i have the brackets to mount my fog lights as well, but i'm gonna install them maybe late march/early April

same here, but i saw how alexvr has his CF hood (his hood is painted black with the car) and it looks good, that's how i'm trying to do my hood.

Kolio: currently searching for 17" wheels and rims.

nycking: i started wondering if anyone else noticed the thread and saw people jumping on it, so i figured to get it, for 150, it's a steal :D

    thanks all

I saw a black galant on stock wheels with clear corners, with the amber bulb visible.

that white area is scratches (i guess from the previous owner). either way, i'm gonna save some money to get the entire hood sanded/clear coated/ and maybe painted to match my black..... or would it look better as is? :smt017

    Nice :D

Tip: If you get it painted, sand it right back to the carbon layer, then get it sprayed lightly with the black and a clear coat. The carbon look will show through, but be black in color ;)

    thanks,
that's what i was thinking of initially, didn't know if it could be done though, was worried that sanding might damage the fiber.
thanks for the tip, i'm probably gonna go that route :D

As long as you use a very, very high grade sandpaper, it should be fine.

One of my friends did this to his integra hood, it looks really nice :)

NOOOO..... you dont want to go all the way down to the fiber with ANY grit of sandpaper. You will ruin the part if you get into the weave. Believe me, ive done it before. All you need to do is give give the hood (the resin over the carbon fabric) a sanding with some 1000 grit until there are no shiny parts left. Then you can spray the clearcoat (or tinted clear) over that.
