    Radar Helped Needed...

Well I really need a radar, I was thinking on a Valentine V1 but I don't want to spend $400. While I was at work I realized we had some very good competitors, and the discount was CRAZY. Right now im leaning towards the 9300i becasue of the reviews on the site. But do guys have any of these or recommended any below.

    Escort owns Beltronics now.

Like I PM'd the OP about, DO NOT buy a Cobra radar detector. I've owned several RD's in my life and the only one I've had that works in a Beltronics Vector 995. The Escort Passport 8500 X50 is ALSO A VERY GOOD RD.

Only the 9500i if you want the GPS functionality. It's really quite cool, actually. Both detectors do a good job of reporting and filtering with EXCELLENT range.

heres a review from a user, i think for my driving style the X50 will be the best. Man you got to love the internet

I dunno $300 is what I paid for my Beltronics Vector 995, I'd just get the 9500i. I've heard good things.

Check out http://www.radarbusters.com and see if he has a review yet.

Never mind, found it for you: http://www.radarbusters.com/images/pdf2/ESO003.pdf.

beltronics or escort and you can't go wrong... Check out radar roy or radarbusters i think it is and they do real life testing on them and tell you how long it takes to respond. And its not all just straight on they do over the hill testing and also curves. They also test them against radar detector detectors. I think one of the best rated right now is the Bel STI

V1 has little or no filtering ability. Screw it, it's not even worth using on a day-to-day basis. Other RDs have similar if not better range. The V1 is not the "holy grail" of radar detectors. Silly fanbois. :D
