99 monarch green I4, 270,000 same engine new tranny at 180,000. that includes it sitting for the majority of 2007. I was about to sell it but I cant part with it. It feels like one of my kids. I just bought a full interior including new carpet and door panels for $100 dollars. I am going to restore it a much like new as possible. I think the looks of the galant are just classic when done right. Almost like the 90-93 Honda Accords.
80K here, WOHOO!
Before my Galant, I had 3 DSMs with over 130K average.
mines just hit 80,000! today and its a 2000 GTZ
2000 galant with 55,000
Yeah you have me beat. I would have more if I hadn't stopped driving it for about 8 months. My transmission went out without any warning at all. I was on the highway running about 70 and all of a sudden the engine redlined. At first I thought an axle broke, but after I jacked it up to check them, I then knew it was the transmission. That was the first and only time it ever broke down on me on the highway. It ended up costing me 1500.00 to fix. The transmission was 900.00 used with 50,000 miles on it. I am about to put another engine in it though. It is starting to burn oil and smoke some. I have noticed that to be a common issue with Mitsubishi engines. My Dad has a Mitsubishi Diamante with 120,000 miles that smokes like a crackhead! It runs perfect; doesn't idle rough or anything. It just burns oil. He doesn't even drive it anymore. And we change our oil faithfully every 3000 miles.
turned today

- 1 oxygen sensor
- 2 flex tubes
- 1 set of rotors, but I think they're warped again
Under warranty
- Tie rods
- Driver side airbag
- A lot of other stuff
