    HID Kits from Ebay

Are they quality? These sylvania silverstars aren't cuttin' it anymore. I'm looking at getting 5000k or 6000k HID's with high and low beams since I do a lot of back road driving that usually don't have any street lights.

First one i saw is this:

I just switched from 8000 k HID's with the shutter (like the ebay ones) to 6000k Bi-Xenon. The difference is tremendous. The high beams with the shutter lights didn't look much different than the low beams. With these there's a noticeable difference. Plus, by adding a diode, you can have the HID on with the Xenon bulb at the same time for high beams. But you're going to need an HID connection cable, because the high low control cable doesnt look like a 9004 connector.

As far as that kit goes, it's got a 2 year warranty on bulbs and ballasts which isn't bad for $150. But you should be able to find bi-xenon kits for the same or cheaper with a similar warranty. Also look for a US Shipper. I got mine from hidny on Ebay. Search and compare.

Whats the difference that you noticed? I'm thinking a 6000k would be best. Does your 6k provide more light than when you had 8k?

theres a bunch of good threads about hids and the light output vs. color etc, i just dont feel like typing it all up right now...but i would stay 6k it looks good and will give you a great output of light
however if your going strictly for visibility 4300k is the best it incorperates all colors but is pure white no color really

The biggest difference is the color and the amount of visibility. The ebay site you listed had one of the best photo sets of the color differences for the entire spectrum. Their through the windshield shots are very close to my experiences

Yep it is. 6000k is just a tiniest touch of blue. 8000k the blue becomes visibly noticeable.

I got mine from this seller on ebay

    http://stores.ebay.com/VVME-CAR-PARTS

It took longer to get than they promised but good quality and got them installed in 15 min, most of these eBay kits are shipped from china so expect some delays if you get them

Anyone know Whats the difference between the H4 and 9003 bulbs?
Also, do you guys think its necessary to get the Low/High beam combo or just low beam will be sufficient?

thanks. I went ahead and got just the low beam since I usually dont use the highs too much and the low HID should be more than enough.
