Maf compatibility (4 cylinder and 6)

Good day all. I was just wondering if the maf sensor of the 4 cylinder will work on the 6 cylinder. Looking at it, it seems the same except for the airbox. I've been having problems with the acceleration for more than 2 years and have replaced several parts already. That would be the lifters, vacumm hoses, high tension wires, and fuel filter. The acceleration of the 4 cylinder is just absolutely insane compared to the 6. Many thanks in advance.

Yes sir, the car bodies are the same. Hoping this is the culprit. Can't afford to spend on a wrong decision again.

As long the MAF has 609 on top of the MAF then it will work. I believe during the mid 90's...Mitsubishi used the same MAF sensor throughout all their engine platforms or at least several models in their vehicle lineup.
