    New GTZ grille

Contemplating on cutting the "fins" off.

I like the look it gives though, kinda classy.

What you guys think should I do the VR-4 grille mod by cutting the vertical bars or just keep it the way it is?

Got the grille from lucap100is great seller!

I absolutely hate the fins. it makes the galant look like a grandma car to me. I say either cut the fins or paint them black so they aren't as noticeable

It will look much cleaner without them bars. Cut them! Thats the second thing I did.

It's just as classy as the fake wood trim lol. Actually since it's color matched it's already better. But when I cut mine I liked it a lot better that way.

Jigz....didn't you used to have a modified "VR4" grille?

Ditch the stock USDM fin grille...its gives the Galant a mundane look.

Yep, those vertical fins really make it look like a grandma car (in my opinion). That's why it was my very first priority to get rid of it from my g when I first bought it. I also had the chrome grill, then I painted it black first. Then I thought about cutting those vertical fins with a dremel tool and putting mesh in them............but then I discovered TGC and this whole thing about JDM and the rest was history. :)

If JDM is not your taste, then at least you can cut them out and push mesh in it. That would be much better than your stock grill.

If you really want to keep the fins, definitely paint them black.

someone tapped my car in the parking ot at work and cracked the grille.

yeah, i'm just going to cut the fins off and put mesh in it.

I have no intention of going JDM in the near future...

Next on my list, is mugen lip, and m3 lip spoiler, after that, its 5-speed time =D

cut the bars and adds some mesh. I was half way through doing this when I decided to get my kit, so I didn't finish it. But it's a pretty easy project if you have a dremel.

Looks really good! Good job. I'll tell you a secret on how to keep from seeing everything behind the grill and not block any air coming in. Cheap and very simple, get some plastic patio door mesh and apply a piece on the back of your mesh and it will block a good amount of light coming in. Another alternative would be to paint that part or the radiator support black.

I will take care of the lower grille when it gets warmer...

Thanks for the compliments and help guys!
