Your doors are still leaking? Check the water drains on the front and back of the door and check to see if they are blocked.
i got some silicone sealer for the tails. going to do it on the next hot warm day. for now its all taped up. thanks to everyone that helped
as always, i really appriciate it
weatherstripping would be a more permanent solution to sealing that gap. sure its not as cheap as duct tape but you'll have a nicer result.
Webhosting for less than $3 a month? put "pinoyesv6" as a promo code.
i dont mind not cheap when it involves water runing the inside of my car, for now im going to attempt to use the silicone that NAPA had me try, then ill go to weather stripping if needed. how would i do that tho?
I would suggest just running the weather stripping around in a circle around the hole. Spiral it around until the harness is wrapped.
thanks, should i do that ontop of doing the silicone?
Eh, that might be overkill ;) It's up to you and how messy you want to make this job.
where can i pick up some weather stripping? like autozone or advance auto? and is there a certain kind that i need or anything will do?
Any auto parts store, really. Should be black and come in a roll. It's just automotive weatherstripping.
thanks again, ill find a way to get all the water out of the trunk, get it nice and clean, and run a shit load of water on the lights to test it... good idea or no?
