The thing is, it's not a huge vibration, I can just hear it. I'll try to get some videos up today

sometimes I can hear it at idle, sometimes not. It actually sounds like its coming from the rear cylinder head as opposed to the transmission/crankshaft. What's weird is I NEVER heard that noise before the swap. But there's no vibration felt through the car. Only sound

You should make sure the rear trans/engine mount is intact.

yea. I filled it with polyurethane but that kind of failed. I'll check them when I get some time and I will probably go to prothane once the holidays are over

found out the the tapping occurs when the clutch is engaged to the flywheel, but is absolutely quiet when it is not

  8. #248
either TOB, ISB, or loose flywheel but since you torqued the flywheel down and im assuming you used threadlock as well, we can rule that out.

I would pull the trans and see if one of the Pressure plate arms are hitting the TOB because they are sticking out.

If it's the ISB I wouldnt worry about it. Numerous people on C3G asked about the same issue and it's just a noise. Doesn't affect the trans whatsoever. You can get it replaced but it will just keep coming back. Even the engineers at the Normal factory said it's just an annoying noise you have to live with.

RAHHHHH someone backed into my car and had the balls to leave my poor car sitting there :( with no note

passenger side door has a huge dent around the door handle. It still opens fine, but it's ugly as sin

Try and find a white door at your local junk yard.. The rear door is untouched.. Just some detail and those scuffs should come off..

actually sadly theres a small indent right near the front door. Not TOO noticeable, but I'm still pissed. It was parked in the student resident parking lot (hence why I say the people were probably drunk). No cameras unfortunately

Sorry about the mishap Adrian. I am not looking forward to parking at the UTi lot this coming semester. Hence why I will prolly take public transportation instead. Hope you find the asshole and hit him with a hammer sharp end to the eye! lol.

Sorry to see that, but remove the door panel and try to push out as much as possible until you can replace it.

I also know that some of the paint less dent repair shops do really well.
