u guys don't get it yet? in japan they like american trends (especially old ones) since it is more expensive and harder to get over there (exclusivity). that's why the yakuza (japanese mafia) loved to ride around in big ass gawdy lincoln continentals and impala lowriders w/ wire wheels (they have to pay huge premiums to keep older cars street legal, hence the reason u see so many 4-5 year old used cars being half-cut or exported to australia and new zealand). in the US we like JDM tuner stuff since it is more expensive and harder to get over here (exclusivity). i understand what mitsu japan is doing... creating appeal for their prospective younger customers (it's called segment marketing).
