well as I thought I failed inspection. I had a code for EGR flow malfunction read by autozone. I had to go this month so I disconnected the battery and that left the emissions codes in default. Now I have to go to a state certified repair facility. Luckily, I have an extra EGR Valve. How much do you think one of these shops would charge to have it installed?

Yeah the paper they gave me said I can do the repairs myself, fill out a form saying what I did, and show receipts for the parts. I don't have receipts for the EGR Valve that I have. I was thinking maybe finding a shop that would just right me up a receipt but I dont know if they would do that. How much though would you guess estimate a shop charging for this?
honestly I don't know but u can go buy another egr and use that reciept and if they decide to keep the reciept and not give it back then try to sell urs here or ebay and if they give u back ur reciept then u can just return it to where u bought it from
I honestly don't know how much it cost just call few places

hmm.... there's a pdf online that discusses the matter.

even though it's from a Nissan forum...

see if you can get the Galant manual and check the exhaust and intake sections

i had the same problem in nj for code p0400 - egr malfunction...
just take off your egr valve, clean it (or put the new one on) and pop it back on
you wont need a receipt just tell them you cleaned it out and now its flowin
a shop should only charge about an hour or two labor the most
