    my 270ish was 12.5-13 gallons i believe
i can easily get in the 290-300 range on 12-13 gal.

damn i thought i was getting OKAY gas mileage on my 4banger G. Im clearing out 320 a tank and Ive hit 350 with mostly highway driving and with 87 octane. I dont feel so bad now.

40 psi is too high for that tire btw. your tires are going to wear abnormally. shouldn't be 32-34psi?

3.50/gal and 3.70/gal....man i wish we saw those prices. more like 3.89 for 87 3.99 for 89 and 4.09 for 91. I swear Cali has the worst gas prices...almost cost 50 bucks to fill my tank now.....

91 is really common in Canada.
    Petro Canada has 94 octane..
I'm not sure about Sunoco, though. We have Shell V-Power with 91 octane though I think.

ok guys here how it works. if u are NOT FI in your USDM 8G I4, then just put in 87; 89 and 91 is a waste of money for u since it will not make your car work any better. if you have a USDM 8G V6, then u need to put in 91 (that's why there's a sticker on your fuel door that says "PREMIUM ONLY" ; 89 and 87 will "work" but your car will have to adjust timing to avoid detonation and will not run as well... detonation is VERY bad for the engine.

At 35psi, the car feels sluggish. There is more friction between the tires and the pavement, which causes the engine to work harder to spin the wheels. This uses up more gas. In terms of wear abnormally, the tires are rotated every 6,000 miles. I did the same on the tires on my Sentra, and they lasted for 42,000 miles. The were designed to last for only 36,000 miles. More air = better mpg and longer tire life.

it's all in your mind. the only way 89 would be benifical in the i4 would be if you were running heavy engine mods: FI or high compression, otherwise it's a waste. the number rating represents resistance to detonation, not power in the fuel. the i4 doesn't need to run any higher than 87.

is ur car GDI? if it is u need to run that high octane as they perform like crap on our lower octane rated fuels... in the US we don't have anything over 93 readily available (of course we do have some stations w/ 105+ racing fuel). our enignes are 2.3 SOHC EFI and 3.0 SOHC EFI so we can run the lower octane fuel that is available here... if needed there is always octane boost addative.

same here.. 140K and still running strong!

I run 89 in my V6 Car. I get around 24-24.5 mpg city highway mix. I get about 340-350 miles per tank. I got the same mpg running 93. I ran 87 before and it lowered my mpg. Also you could feel the car pull timing. When you look at the gas pump you should note that the octain rating shown is the minimum octain(It could be higher). I don't recommend putting 89 in anyones cars but this is what I've notice.
