tried to read my 00 ecu and no luck

Did or could you try using ECU Flash version 1.28? Give me your E-Mail if you need a copy...

You could try a copy of EVO Scan to see if you can get a data-logging connection. I had issues when I first tried...

the only thing i can think of is running 1.28 or 1.29a

only 1.31 and later they added the ability to read the H8 processors, brandon said he managed to read his friend's 00 ecu but he only did it once, i managed to get the 1.31 so im gonna try that

i tried the 1.33 and the 1.34 and no luck, tomorrow im gonna try the 1.31 if i figure out how to save it on my vista from the e-mail which i dont know how to save it and change the extension as my computer automatically saves it without giving me the option

and if that doesnt work then im gonna plug the 03 ecu and try to read it and if that works then im gonna copy it and send it to logicgate and have him delete my immobilizer and send it back to me

well today i tried the 1.31 ecuflash and that didnt work either so i started taking my dash apart to get to the ecu and swap in the 03 and attempt to read that but i didnt get that far since i had somewhere to go but tomorrow i will try to find the time to swap them and read the 03 and i hope that works then i will be set

so only 01+ cali spec can be flashed, i know i read this a million times before but i cant tell the difference between cali and fed spec cars

If you go to the mentor mitsubishi website and type in your ECU part number, it will tell you if you have a cali or fed spec ecu.

Getting to that ECU is a monster, taking apart that air filter box is going frustrating too. Your going to need deep well sockets to get those small nuts off the bottom of the air box and once all the nuts and bolts are out trying to pull it out is even harder. You might be surprised how dirty your filter is going to be, I found leave, straw and sticks in mine.

As far as the part number on the ecu what is the site u talking about ?? Have u figured anything out with urs

Hey kory do u have the XML file to put in the mitsubishi folder of the ecuflash program ?? I think the code for the 00 galant was something like 85850014 brandon gave me the one for the 01 G but I wanna try the one for 00 just to give it a shot

Also when I plug everything in and hit read the lil window that comes up gives me the option for what car I'm trying to read and all the options thats in there for evo and subaru but brandon gave me the XML file for the 01 eclipse AT do u have the galant ones too ??

I havent done much, I got final next week. I'm just waiting for school to let before continue. I'm thinking about getting another car too, there are alot of 7Gs going for 4 to 6 hundreds dallors but all of them have tranny problems.

well i just got the 00 ecu out and plugged in the 03 ecu in and tried to read it and it worked :) i saved a copy to the hard drive and a copy to a flash drive, im gonna send a copy to logicgate to delete my immobilizer and go from there now that this is out of the way i might jack the car up and cut the bottom of the bumper since the intercooler is pushing down on it

thanks for everyone who tried to solve this mystery with ecuflash and not being able to read my current ecu


btw that website told me that the 03 ecu is cali spec but didnt tell me what my ecu is oh well since im not using my ecu

You need to change the "User Level" to see ALL maps, but some are developmental so be safe!

yeah i got those a lil bit ago but i did manage to read the 03 ecu which means im just outta luck with the 00 ecu

i havent looked anywhere else beside ebay so if u know a site where i can get them for a decent price or u have better brand u wanna recommend then please share it

do i have to keep 2 cats to be street legal ?? i dont care about emission since i wont be doing it but around here cops profile us and i dont wanna get no fine for not having a cat so instead of using the test pipe that i have i decided to go with a high flow cat instead

which ones should i get ?? i will just get the cheapest ones cuz i dont know any better so if u can help me decide i would appreciate it
