94 galant AT transmistion need help

my car going crazy when my overdrive on its sliping right at 30mph so i have to turn it off. it run fine only thing is at 40mph the rpm almost 4k .can any1 tell me how to fix it

im thinkin convert to 5spd but dont know what parts does i need can some 1 give me a list

kinda sounds like my car... with over drive on, it slipped like when it would rev the engine to get more power, and with over drive off, it would feel like someone slammed on the breaks randomly... my car is currently in the shop cuz i blew the tranny the other day... ide have someone take a look at it...

yeah sounds like the tranny is starting to go out on you...
