    We got F@ckin screwed!

ok, I was cruising sounddomain.com when I came across a thing of beauty. an australian Galant. for those who haven't seen it:
    http://members.optushome.com.au/anthlil/galant/
It looks friggin badass ( and it's looking stock other than some rims, that thing gives off a real BMW impression though.) What happened, it looks more aggressive ( WAY more) why did we get the flacid version? I mean our galants are cool and all, but that thing is damn nice. If anybody else has seen this before, what do you think?

    It's mine

    Glad you like it

I'll have to put some more updated pics there - the air intake has been (temporarily) re-located and a Magna Flow exhaust has since been installed with a shiny 4" tip

ttail end is deffinately different. I mean a hatchback on it? it looks wierd but cool at the same time. What about those 300+ HP galants? those are Japanese? I think I found one of those twin turbo engines on ebay one time, and it was EXPENSIVE! That would be so badass to have.

@seth: yes, my headlights are one piece
@Lowlivin2002: yep, mine's a 4-door hatchback...here in Aus, we can get the twin-turbo engines through our many Jap engine/parts suppliers but still quite expensive. here's an example of where I've been looking:

Nope. You'll have to move to Sydney if you want one...

These are fully imported and were sold by Mitsubishi Australia (not via private import). As for how much they cost, between about $13,000AUD and $17,000AUD (approx $6,000USD - $8,000USD)....you might be able to find them in the US, but they would need to be privately imported (and note that they are right-hand drive).

Why just Sydney 2True?? lol - anyway yes, you can buy these anywhere in Australia although there are not too many of them around. Apparently, these Galants were released around the same time as the Mazda 626 and Telstar TX5 in Australia, and Mitsubishi's publicity for the Galant wasn't fantastic so not many were imported and sold....brand new, they retailed at almost $40,000AUD (approx $19,000 USD).

Damn, that kind of sucks. I wish we had the option. I mean US galants are good and all but, i would kick ass if they just thought for a moment and brought over some of those japanese ( and australian.) inovations ( including the twin turbo engine ( god I wish they americanized that, though I'm sure it'd be slower.) tired as I am of Acura and Honda holding th spot light, I'll bet that JDM engine will give them somthing to think about.

well, all i can do is cross my fingers for you guys...!

btw, here's another galant in Australia and yes, this time it's in Sydney:
    http://www.cardomain.com/id/mr_enrique

except for the bonnet, it's basically the same as mine except it's a year older...

i noticed that there are so many honda's around in the US jap import scene - much more than over here in Oz...just a flick through Import Tuner will confirm that. the main imports u find over here are skylines, 300zx, s15/200sx, 180sx, mitsu lancer gsr/evo etc etc.....

I may or may not be right, but the reason the image may not be working is because it's hosted on Yahoo. Yahoo may not support external linking like this.... :?:

    6a13TT

Nick> im assuming your engine is the 6a13TT. hehe one powerful 2.5L beast

hmm.. I wish they have an LSD for our rides. anone selling that LSD in australia? the 6a12TT suffers from torque steer when using a FWD tranny. as in my experience

But the power is orgasmic! hahahhahaahahahah!

Hondas seem to dominate all even here in the Philippines. Of course us mitsu boys over here will change that soon heheheh!

Honda is so popular coz there are so many mods available for them and coz they are cheap-ass all aluminum coffins. Ive seen some civics slide under trucks over here. (not a pretty sight..especially whats left of the driver)
