you beat that ass!!! no i am kidding.......yep dealer is the only option right now aside from making her go find them. I would suggest getting a blank ebay transponder key for your galant and taking it with you to the dealer as well depending on the dealership and if you have another car to use

i love how you all nonchalantly say "take it to the dealer". with out a key, hows he supposed to do that?
i guess start calling tow companies.
If you post stupid and incorrect information, you will get red nuggets.
You can take the car to the dealer or call around to some local locksmiths that have the right equipment to program a transponder key. Get price quotes from a dealer or a local locksmith and weigh your price options
I would personally take it to a Mitsu dealer because at least its being done at a Mitsu dealer, less "shady" than a independent locksmith, and plus the locksmith will have to call a dealer anyway since you lost all your keys and they would need the key code to cut the key.
I worked for Toyota and GM dealers and they were stricted on getting keys cut and programmed. I am pretty sure Mitsu has gotten stricted too due to the nationwide key cutting thefts. THey will require the registration, title, drivers licsense, and sometimes proof of insurance and the the person on the registration or title has to be present at the time the key is being made and only can be released to that person. Just forewarning you that you may come across that situation.

wow I never had to show all of that but then again it depends on the area and the dealership

Like i said it depends on dealership and region I guess..not sure if the key cutting policies are nationwide, but thats my experience working at dealerships.
When I worked for Toyota you only needed the VIN# and a drivers license to get a key cut. It worked out fine till a guy I took care of came up to me to get a key cut for a 95 Toyota Supra Turbo. I got the key code from the VIN# and cut a new key for him and he gave me a copy of his drivers license. About 2 weeks later a police detective came to our parts department asking who helped this guy cut the key and it was me and another guy and of course our parts manager was involved. Come to find out the drivers license was a fake and they guy we cut a key for stole a heavily modified Supra in a high class part of Orlando while the owner was at work. They found the Supra in Georgia dump on the side of the road with EVERYTHING gone ..just the frame. After that and along with other reported similar thefts around the southeast, Toyota implemented a strict key cutting policy.

if you cant find them....are they maybe locked in the car?? call pop-a-lock to open it up if you think they might be in there before dropping cash to teh dealership for new key and programming.
You don't need the chip more than likely. My bro lost the keys to his 2002 caddy, had one cut without the chip off the vin for $12 at the dealer.
also with our cars without the chip the key might automatically shut down the fuel system some of the galants have that on them, so try that with caution.....

i guess ill call them tomorrow. i really dont want to get it towed.
who cares bout the keys.
Its funny this was posted today, bcz just yesterday I was at the dealer yesterday getting my Tranny flushed & filled, and was asking about this. I got quotes from two of my local dealerships. $165, & $103.Thats with my key that I have now. I dont have a spare, so I was asking for a duplicate of my OG...
And LMAO! at the post ABOVE ^^^
Usually a good backhand will make a woman remember where she put the keys....
Maybe she left them at her other bf house.... :)
Just kidding...good luck man.

lkorty that was a joke right? i would love to see you try that.
maybe it will work on 20 year old trucks, i doubt you could do it on a galant.
