A/C smell

I got my A/C compressor replaced & used it. Very next day, I got sick....so I'm thinking of disinfecting it since it never worked correctly for 3 years.

What's the easiest way for me to disinfect the system?

did they replace the accumulator or the dryer ?the easiest way is to take the air filter off run the ac and spray lysol in the motor untill it comes out of the ducts , it will clean it out what your smelling is probally the old filter , building up mold , try replacing that then try again , but usually the systems are pretty moisture free , but the ac service should of replace the accumulator and the dryer or at least cleaned them out.
