2001 Silver/Black GTZ a.k.a Unfinished project

Just got the pics of my 2000 GT eclipse up on here...take a look under the G's pics!!



























2000 Eclipse GT, the car has a few mods to it already and is going to get more really soon.
As of right now it has

03 front conversion (not complete)
6G74 3.5 swap
Full polyurethane motor mounts
Injen CAI
Apexi exhaust
Pioneer head unit
Kicker speakers all around
clear turns signals
Carbon fiber tails
Projector heads
Alloy gas cap
Painted the radio bezel
Thats about it for the mods so far, I plan on getting some new rims in about 2 weeks, megan racing lowering springs.
Im also wanting to get a HID kit for the projectors, tint the turn signals in the front some, tint the reverse lights, and re-tinting the windows.

but for now heres some pics































Thats all for now, but i will be keeping this thread updated with some progress soon

Heres the engine bay pic, i know its dirty but ive not had alot of time to detail it really well or get that leaky oil cap fixed. I will do that really soon




Cleaned the Eclipse up again this weekend and figured i would take some more pics. The only thing ive done is add the alloy fuel door...sadly i spilt gas on it tho sand its stained it...Grr

But here it is hiding in my freshly cut yard...i kno i kno thats alot of grass but it was really high because my mower tore up lol

back to all silver, going to do the finless mod on the grille. then im going to do the niightshades the fogs, tails, and thir brake light,
and get a new set of USDM heads...and rims. Then ill be done

Yes it was, I dont have alot in the car. Probably around 2000 with some tires, and the 60k mile tune up
Its a 2001 model and on had 67k miles on it when i got it, it now has 74k miles

Eclipse looks great, once you get new wheels for it you should put the eclipse wheels on the G, I have it on mine, and I love them. The G is clean, just get it painted.

No im not, this is the 3.5 diamante engine, there valve covers are all black because the originally have a plastic engine cover covering the front

Thanks alot! Yes i am going to lower it with the megan springs, and putting a set of 17's back on it

Well i would but the Eclipse rims are bent all to hell, the last person that owned it must have lived on the curbs and in the pot holes...lol
and yes the G needs paint, shes sleeping in the Driveway right now, its not been driven for a couple months now i need to get insurance back on it.

I want to eventually do that swap to my 6G72.. Thats the first 3.5 swapped eclipse I've seen.. We have a member on here that has done that on his 8G..

I love it, my eclipse is way more aggressive then my G. To me driving the Galant then getting in the Eclipse and taking off it makes my galant feel like a 4 cyl!!
I would suggest this swap to anyone. After i find me the 5speed swap im going to look into getting another 6G74 for the G

id say getting the Check engine light to stay off is the main thing. My Eclipse is one of the only ones that is running on the 6g72 ECU, injectors and many other parts with out the CEL. Also had a little trouble out of the throtle cable sticking at first too but its all good
Everything else is mainly direct swap, my suggestion is when you do the swap try and find a donor diamante that has the pretty much completed front end available incase u have any problems.
