    HP Gains

    What are all the things you can get to add HP to a A/T(other then turbo). I know some of the main ones, but there has to be more.

    SRI or CAI
    Catback Exhaust
    Headers
    intake manifold

    i might be wrong but the outlander intake manifold doesn't give you HP its just stronger than we have now "i4".please correct me if im wrong.
    save the $300 every two weeks and get some turbo. headers will cost you around $400,$250 for a good CAI and $400 for the catback. if you save those money instead your half way there to buy turbo :)

    TURBO= in the making.......

    agreed, the Outlander IM won't break by the TB like the stock intake manifold does. I paid 340 for my cat-back exhaust and about 100 for the short ram intake. it's possible to do a custom turbo setup for around 1000-1500, i'm around 1300 myself.

    is that it? i know theres gotta be more stuff that adds hp other then the stuff i listed. i got 99000 miles on my car and idk if its worth it to go turbo. if i do what are some things i can buy now and have installed to get ready for turbo but still drive my car daily???
    also ive been reading the turbo section and im not getting it. I probably wont be able to intsall myself and i dnt know where to start with parts or where to get them.

    took me a few months to research my stuff before my install; i'm still researching the mapping for the fuel and timing in ECUFlash.

    mtcavity put a turbo on his G at over 100,000 miles. seth is well over 230k miles and is still going strong. i'm sure you can do it, just search for your parts. and read some of the turbo build threads here, i know on mine is a FULL list of parts to get.

    ^^ true, make sure you save up money to get good quality parts, that way you don't spend alot on replacement parts from them breaking down.

    my bad :oops: IM SORRY!!!
    laxin's almost at 200,000 as well. still applies...as long as you tune the car right and no leaks anywhere, the car will last, even as boosted. :D

    Im at 219k and about to throw my turbo parts on.

    THeres not much more you can do other then replacing the entire stock exhaust with a header and free flowing exhaust and getting into the engine. Could do a port and polish on the head, oversized valves, valve springs and retainers, cam, adj cam gear, have a custom SMIM built, and more. But all that will cost you some money, especially if you dont do it yourself.
    7g for life!
