    Part Identification

    Hi Guys,

Does anyone know the Mitsubishi part number of the item circled in the picture attached? I want to buy a new one, but for my model, Galant 03 ES (8g), the dealer says that it doesn't come by default and only comes with the V6. I'm sure he's wrong, but I don't want to order the wrong part, if he's mixing it up with something else.

You mean the part under the door that is pushed in in the picture?

That's right. Just want the part number. I believe it's two separate pieces for one side. Mine is only pushed in for the front piece.

Its not seperate. Its called the outer rocker panel. Its welded to the car. thats someone a body shop would pull out, bondo, sand, prime and paint. If you look under the car you will see that part is continous and welds to the floor pan under the car.

Thanks Stewi, I'll take a look and see, was just hoping I could get a replacement part for cheaper than the cost at the body shop.

if you decide to get a body kit you can just cover it with side skirts and you'll never know its there.

Webhosting for less than $3 a month? put "pinoyesv6" as a promo code.

Yeah that's true, I was thinking about that too, but right now there's a lot of body work that is still required on the car. I bought the car with the whole paint fading and dents here and there. It's going to cost me quite a bit to get all that done up, so right now saving up for that, and then the customizations. heheh

just buy a dent puller and everything will go back to normal.

A filipino's number one dream is to own a car before anything else. In the philippines, most private car owners consider their vehicles as an extension of their home but with one differrence: a home is where his wife cooks while a car is where his girlfriend builds a fire. Hmmm...
