when I asked if he can get the shocks and struts for the 8g this is the response I got

The gr-2 are another type of shocks KYB offers. They are a product line lower than the AGX..... I would get the AGX if I were you.

Bit of advise, Shocks/struts are one of those items that you dont want to purchase second hand or from jsut someone out the blue because the warranty you get will only come from the vender themselves. Say if you get it from Tirerack.com or as BGR pointed out coximport.com you can deal with them vs being placed on hold or waiting weeks for a reply via email from koni or KYB. I have gone through the bs with weapon R hence why I refuse to do business with them again.. My .02

KYBs have that one year warranty, so have to strongly agree. Now as far as the Koni adjustables those come with lifetime warranty and if you contact Mr. Benson at Koni he will replace the shocks or parts at no charge. Speaking from personal experience. The question is do they make Koni adjustables for the Galant?

www.truechoice.com does offer konis for the eclipse which is better for guys with lowered cars. You just cant tell them they are going on a galant as it would void the warranty. I believe they charge 139 but they will match the spring rate if you provide it....cant beat it...
