Opinions on lowering springs for a 7g

Eclipse springs are similar but not the same. 94-97 shocks are absolutely the same, so it really doesnt matter

with having gr2's and aftermarket loweiing springs.what is the average life of the gr2's until they get shot totally?because still being a sophomore in highschool i am very low on cash and i wont be able to keep switch out the shocks...

you won't have to worry about it until you're in college, depending on how often you transport heavy loads and go baja racing

lol ok cool......so has anyone here ever had the 2g eclipse megan racing lowering springs on their car or ever been in a car with them??

what is a better deal??
price=$110 2g eclipse megan racing lowering springs (Front 2.0in/Rear 1.9in)
price=$210 eibach prokit lowering springs (Front 1.5in / Rear 1.0in)
price=$320 skunk2 coilover (3.0in drop all around possibly)

i personally have never ran the skunk2 coilovers, but i've driven a few cars with them, and i think they're overpriced IMO. they're essentially the same as ebay coilovers, maybe a less stiff spring rate and higher build quality, but they're just bouncers imo.

It depends how you dial in the suspension with the Skunk2's. I personally think mine are set nicely. I have taken a ride in 2g with the Skunk2's and his suspension was not comfortable at all...too stiff and too bouncy. I have been happy with my Skunk2's, but looking to go with a 1 piece construction type of coilover.

ahhh so many options........oki think i can scratch out getting the megan lowering springs...so now its between the eibach prokit or the skunk2 coilovers but i am leaning towards the eibach prokit only because it costs less and if i got the coilovers i would not be sure how to setup the coilovers correctly...
