Upgrading my 2002 Galant ES

I'm stealing this idea from 99 Galant. :D I liked it, and it should help keep me motivated to keep going. Hope you don't mind.

This is going to be my running thread for modifications to my 2002 Galant ES. I'm a pretty good ways in to doing stuff already, but theres still a bit more I want to do, so I'll update here and post pictures as I go. My car was completely stock as of March 08 btw. Any suggestions that you guys might have I'm all ears. Thanks.

good start airborne, not feelin the TYCs but to each his own :)
good to see you're going for the Megan cat-back. hopefully LogicGate contacts you soon about the ROM flash. don't forget, Mitsulogger, EvoScan, and ScanTech can be used for datalogging as well (ScanTech check for trouble codes as well as STFT and LTFT)
i forgot who, but i know someone on TGC is selling an EGR visor. check the for sale section for that.

the pictures don't do it justice. it really looks good in person. but if your asking if I painted, then no, but it was my call to get it painted that way.

thanks man. i dont really like the TYCs but i think they're better than JDM or USDM so maybe after my headlight project, I might do a taillight project. who knows.

i actually have been in constant contact with logicgate and i just got my new ROM with the baseline tune for now and flashed it to my ECU (using 1.35 with no issues). I've also got mitsulogger and scantech, and once I get my headers and exhaust here and on, then Ill datalog it and send it back to him for the fine tunning. i can already feel the difference just from the baseline tho. and i actually just bought an EGR visor from Koncept so that should be here early next week.

im stoked about all the new stuff showing up over the next 2 weeks!

Great job.

I agree with others. If you drop the car it will make it 100% better.
There were some members here who have taken those tailights apart and painted the chrome around the lights black. They look pretty good that way. I also suggest painting the black middle guard on the doors white to match the paint.

yup...just a matter of preference. like i said i don't really like the altezzas but the black ones i have look much better than the CF or clear imo. I have a good idea for a taillight project, but that will be a little ways off.

wow I'm retarded. it took me 5 mins of wondering wtf you were talking about before I realized you edited those 2 pictures! haha

well my car used to be all white and the black on there I had done about a month ago. i like that door guard being black, throws some more black in the mix. but i like the way those tails look without that little chrome. i just may have to do that soon.

I'm like a kid at Christmas today!! Just got a double package delivery from UPS. Unfortunatly, I'm waiting for the other half of each in order to do the install. Still waiting on the GR2s which should be here next week, and hopefully soon on the Megan catback, but that was on back order (placed order 2 weeks ago)

Just received my EGR visor in the mail from Koncept today. Went out with my roommate and got it put on just now and my does it look good. Much thanks to Koncept. One step closer to where I want her to be.

looking good, and like everyone else i think it would look better with the door panel thing painted white, but if you like it, that's all that matters. either way you are doing a great job.
