    Tranny Problem

So about 3 weeks ago I was driving and something like stopped working and the brakes slammed on real hard by itself. Afterwords I stop the car put it in park and turned off the car check under hood and under car and seemed normal to me. After that I start up the car and put it in drive and it won't move it just stays still as if it was in park so I step on the gas more and it goes but slowly like 5 mph and you hear this clunk comming around the motor when it moves a couple ft forward. Don't hear the clunk when it is reversing though. What could be the problem. car only has 85k miles and I change oil filter and oil at 84k too so I don't really know what the problem is I am assuming that it is the tranny but what do you guys think any opinions?

    Possibly a broken Axle?

i haven't had this problem with any of mine yet.

i know it did something simular on my old car..
Cause the axle popped out, and barely moved when it could.

well I tried it again yesterday and It didn't reverse also I was thinking that it could be the axle too but my cousin check it and he said it seemed fine to him. I thought at first that it was the axle too but now I think that it could be the tranny also. Cause the car can't move if axle are broken too. But thing is the motor jumps when I drive it a couple of ft forward. I have not figure out the cause of this yet.

i say jack it up.. and put it in N.. and spin the tires around slowly and maybe you could
see if an axle is bent or something?
    and maybe you'll.
    find a result maybe?

If you have a tranny problem, you could always get a restraining order.
