Yeah it will fit. That is the same exact model in my Galant. The cd is right under the radio/cassette deck. Looks good when it's both together. However my head unit is going nuts on me when it automatically increases in volume.

I know this is an extremely old thread, but I was just having a similar question. Does anyone know if the 99 Galant Cassette player is a direct fit onto the 03 Galant DE? Or will there be any splicing or re-wiring required? I'm short of cash right now and this seems to be my cheapest option to use my mp3 player.

Here's an example of what the back of the 03 CD player looks like -

I'm thinking they are almost the same. Any ideas? My current CD player is a non-Infinity one.

how much did you manage to spend on that? there are tons of inexpensive decks out there with a 3.5mm plug for mp3 players

Oh, this will cost me $20 shipped, if I win the auction. Since it's plug and play, I thought it should be the best move for me at the moment. Right now, I've had to spend on ball joints and suspension and a paint job, so I'm rather broke! Thought of going for a better head unit and Sirius later, once mechanically the car is sound.
