ahhh, thats why he couldnt figure out how to install it, the rubber"gasket" was too small, electrical tape to the rescue.

Why do people keep saying you don't have to cut the pipe? Way back when I installed my AEM with the bypass filter, I had to cut the lower pipe at the bypass side to fit. Even in the instructions that come with the bypass filter it says you'll have to cut the pipe. I don't know how anyone got the pipe to fit without cutting it unless there is more room with the I4 than the V6 because I have the V6. From the pics I've seen in this thread of the I4, there doesn't appear to be any room whatsoever.

    maybe.

    idk

I never had to cut anything off of the intake. but I will never go back to AEM due to it lacks a mount for the upper pipe.

I'd rather have the knowledge and ability to do it than the money to buy it already done.

Dumb question, but does the short ram intake have a mount on it? I had a cold air intake on mine but the mount broke, so i deleted the lower pipe. Now the filter rests on the empty platform and rattles, so i used a bungie strap to make it so that it doesnt rattle anymore.
Currently on my 3rd 8G... Not giving up this time!

I have an Injen SRI, it has a mount, which just broke. Now my filter rattles and is pissing me off.

Anyone have a pic of the short ram with the mount? I looked on ebay, but couldnt tell if there was a mount on any of them or not.
