Front Wheel Clearance With RX8 Wheels

these are 18x8 with a 225/45/18 tire. now ive had that size tires on my car before with no problem, but it seems the added width makes this size the largest size in height you could have on the front of a mitsubishi galant without modification. they're taller than my 19's and most twenties.

    clearance shot

in this pic u can also see the slight rub marks on the top of the plastic

Just run a spacer, its cheaper than getting new tires. then when those tires wear, get the correct size tire. but even with that youre probably gonna rub without a spacer.

Not with 225/40-18s or 215/45-18s. They would be noticeably shorter and wouldn't be close to the lower spring perch.

it doesnt touch the spring perch, i wouldnt change the way it sat with those wheels on it, but it doesnt really matter since my wheels are back on my car and those are bak on my gf's sisters rx8, sorry serstylez
