hahaha! remember when i said be there EARLY? well some of us were there before 1:00AM friday night(RACENOS and JIMMY02) to hold our spots (thanks again guys, u rock!)! i had 30+ spaces reserved for our section (we had the BEST parking section location for the second year in a row!) through my contacts at MRDA/MMUSA/MMNA, but i warned everybody that we cannot guarantee parking for latecomers... well the lot filled up so fast when they openned the gates around 8:30AM that by 8:45AM the other car models (3000gt's and eclipses) started taking our spaces and our section was not supposed to be encroached on until 9:30AM)! i figure there were at least 25 galants there but only 12 to 15 of us actually got to park in our section since they (parking staff and security) started making everyone arriving after 9AM, park in overflow (u were in one of the overflow lots) all around the the surrrounding blocks! everyone we could squeeze into our spots from TGC/GF got to park w/ us right next the food and mainstage (we were squeezing cars in 3 to every 2 spots!), every G that came late was a LONG walk away... did u notice that there were over 500 EVOS there and 750+ MITSUS in attendance total (probably more!) with only a few hundred spots available on the main lot? they were parking everywhere and we were almost coming to blows w/ other clubs to hold spots for our people! BILLET and I ended up parking right in front of the stage in the "food court" 1 aisle away from our group (MOD staff gave us am extra 4 spots for our show cars: BILLET won "best in show" MOD07 and I won "best execution" MOD06), holding 2 spots for CALI (who we were expecting to win this year). eventually the MOD08 "Best in show" winner (VERY deserving mirage coupe w/ FULL EVO swap including AWD!) and the runner-up ended up taking those spots when CALI was unable to make it. this is why in some early pics we (BILLET and I) are w/ the group, and then just a little later after, we are all alone in another section.

the reason you saw so few of us parked together is because our section was literally overrun and we could only fit that many G's in! i personally am legendary for being late to meets but i have not been late to MOD in all four years they have had it, since i know there are hundreds of cars ready to take my spot. it's safe to say that MOD09 will be even MORE crowded as this event has grown each year and we will all have to be there almost 2 hours before the event starts just to keep what little spots we have alotted to us next year!
