They look like painted drums to me.
There is heaps of potential for the 7G, and even over here where you can readily get JDM parts, it's not the easiest thing to modify.
Though I am lucky in the fact that my 7G can run basically any component of an 8G, e.g suspension, engine parts.... to a point, interior can be swapped over with minimal modification etc....
There are only a few things I'd want to change asthetically on mine, but it's only subtle touches, things that only true galant enthusiasts would notice.
