    how to lower 8g

Ok guys im new here so please bear with me. I have a 02 8g, Im putting
8teens on it and want to lower the front of the car. I did this on my last ride a 94 jetta and it ate tires for breakfast..... I dont want a real aggressive drop just enough to take up the gap. I drive ove 120 miles a day and need a close to factory ride. Will I need a camber kit or will springs and struts do the job?

oby the way...when u lowered ur tire-eating jetta, did u cut the springs or put aftermarket springs???because if u jut cut the springs or aftermarket springs,it will almost always eat ure tires....if u look at the top of an aftermarket spring like eibach for ex.. the top is flattened out evenly so it sits even, but sometimes people cut them ,which causes the cut portion not to be flat at the top, therefore causing the top to be uneven and eating tires like crazy...or sometimes paople cut the aftermarket springs and sometimes that can cause excessive tire wear...i know cuz it happened to me,....

Ok this is a REALLY stupid question, so please bear with my ignorant ass:

How do I tell how many inches these springs will lower my ride?

I'm eying the Eibach Pro-Kit Premium Springs, but I dont know how much it will lower my ride.

And also (sorry for hijacking this thread) installation is generally around grand when done through a shop right?
