Disconnecing the SES is always not recommended as REAL engine problem arises and you would have noway of telling.......
But if you must, just take out the bulb for that in the back of the gauge cluster.......
Manybrews-
hey, my ses light has returned! it was a p1400 error. my mechanic said that in his manual it is an "unidentifiable" error. i was going to ask the dealer, but they told me it was "ghost" code when i had the issue with the injectors being "bad."
the car runs fine...no issues.
1) do you know what that error code is?
2) if not, is there a way to just disconnect the ses light so i don't have this annoying yellowish/orange light on all of the time?
thanks a ton!

Ask for that new PCM software upgrade if you're still under warranty...
"Daisy tumbled short of his dreams, not through her own fault, but because of the colossal vitality of his illusion... No amount of fire or freshness can challenge what a man will store up in his ghostly heart. " - F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
"I have not failed 700 times. I have not failed once. I have succeeded in proving that those 700 ways will not work. When I have eliminated the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work." - Thomas Edison
the pcm software will do nothing for that car.
im not sure what p1400 is.. i can look it up tomorrow, if i remember.
p1400 is for an open or short of the manifold differential pressure sensor. its located on top of the intake manifold. I have had to replace a few of these.
make sure its plugged in fully.
