    Sticky lifter fix?

Hey guys. Getting ready to drop another 64 down in my 7g. Quick question. When I put new valve seals on it I noticed that some of the lifters were a little sticky. Is there anything I can soak them in to free them up a little?

    You can try this:
    http://www.vfaq.com/mods/lifters.html

I cleaned mine once since I had everything apart, never had any issues with lifter tick.

Really, the only way to cure it 100% is to replace all the lifters with the new revised 3g lifters.
    7g for life!

you can soak them in brake parts cleaner if you'd like. submerge them in brake parts cleaner and pump them up.

If i were you I'd buy some new revised lifters.
will get rid of your lifter tick. the orifice on the original lifters is tiny. Either OEM or aftermarket revised lifters will eliminate this problem.

    there are three versions/revisions.
    hence the term 3g lifters.
you probaly have the 2nd revision.

but if you just clean them, they'll probably be fine for another 40-50k miles. provided you keep your oil clean.
