The Ivory Vrg Hybrid - How Does My Boost Taste?

Ok so I finally decided to create a build thread for my 8g "Ivory"
Woohoo!!! It should have been done long ago but anyways without further adieu......

    The Beginning
Early 07 when I took her home...

    Holy wheel gap!!!

My first mod in mid 07 were my tinted tails, new muffler, and blacked out emblems

    8-27-07 Rims and Teins

    9-26-07 Gtz Spoiler and Tint
Installed a stock gtz spoiler on my car. lol never thought drilling holes in my car could be so scary...

Rolled around like that for a while until I decided I needed something extra on my ride. but not just anything something to make it fierce...I looked around at other types of cars. Evos, Bmw, Nissans.....and I decided I wanted a sport/classic look. The major conversions were the new and old style vr4 conversions but wow that seemed like a pain and I wanted to keep a somewhat stock look so cops and "ricers" will stay off my a$$. I then did my research and found that there was another type of galant that wasnt talked about a lot. The Vrg. Oh boy did I get excited. I then found a picture on Cardomain and saw and 8g-b front end with a vrg lip. I knew immediately this what I wanted to do soooo.......

    3-6-08 The Lip Arrives

    3-7-08 Test Fitting Galore
Went to a shop and they told me $600...... :| ......screw off you queer gear wearing a holes was my first thought. haha. Time to get my hands dirty...

What Do you know it fits pretty well!
Spent a month basically trying to figure out how do do the project. First time with fiberglass and bondo....LOTS of late nights of research...

4-1-08 What Did I Get Myself Into?

    *Koolaid Man Style* Oooooh Yeahhhhh!!!

5-23-08 LOTS Of Sanding and Paint.....
Hid's added, CF emblems and CF eyelids, as well as megan racing coilovers.

6-10-08 Side Skirt Prep And Fit

Holy crap I never thought a car could look so good with green sides on. 8O

Still one Of my most favorite pics of my car to date....

    6-13-08 Paint FTW!!

So I woke up one morning and said whoa looks dont cut it.....I constantly get harassed by subarus and once in a blue moon an evo.....I swear i live in subaru nirvana or some ish.....anyways I decided to knock my performance up. first step to that road.....manual.

8-1-08 5 Spd Swap Motha Suckas!!

The full swap will take place on monday september 1st.....oh yeah...bet your pants off there will be lots of pics!

YAY for another build thread! Great progression, I like your lip fiberglass project, my first project was a vr4 style grill, definitely didn't turn out as good as your lip. Good luck with the five speed swap, and this gives me inspiration to start my own build thread.

Your VRG lip really made the difference. Those things are extremely rare.

I am using my father in law's shop! ^.^
Labor done by me....and that price is all parts.

    The Swap: Day 1

    yummy!

    And the project begins....

    Battery out...

    Intake out....and tranny out

    pointless crap....LOL

and she sits and waits until tomorrow so I can finish her up.

....I started later than planned so I didnt get to finish today but I will hit the shop at 8am and should be done by afternoon. this is about 6 hrs work so far put in and I estimate this total swap will take a total of 12 hours.
