This Saturday AR Auto Service hosted a meet and greet with Austin and Kalson of FFD Motorsport. I have been running their Evo 1 wheels on Lazarus for a while with great satisfaction, and they just released their Evo 2 in 18x10 +25 offset in BMW fitment, and also 18x10 +32 in 5x114.3 to fit a variety of your typical Japanese cars.
We had a lot of local BMW guys come out and test fit the wheels and we also put them on our shop race car E46 M3. The results speak for themselves, but I personally think the wheels are beautiful. Austin and Kalson were wonderful to talk to as they explained the technology behind the manufacturing of their wheels. It was a great day and I thought I would share some photos. I managed to sneak one of the 5x114.3 wheels onto my daily driver as well and I love them, I need to dial in some more camber and I'll have a set on order soon.

$250/wheel ain't bad @ 20 lbs. They'll be lighter than your typical 18" tire. Keeping them in mind in the future.

Nice wheels, any rubbing when you turn the wheel?

Quick little update, did a track day got down to a 1:28.2 on street tires with an open diff, my built trans is just hanging out in the garage with my quaiffe still in it, hilarious one tire fires on corner exits with the temporary tranny in there.
Played with a lotus 211, overall just had a blast, I'll be doing some top level damper upgrades shortly so my AMR will become available for sale.
Lost the front lip on the front straight and ran it over at 125+ mph, I'm gonna stich it up and throw it back on since I don't care about the aesthetics of this car too much anymore

What did you have done to the trans, I just blew 4th gear for the second time and need help!

  13. #1053
Trans has a TRE stage 2 rebuild and the quaiffe diff that I've had before in it. I just need to swap it back in. I've gone through 3 transmissions now lol. Killed a few input shafts and 4th gear has crapped out as well.

This was such an awesome build! Went through the entire thread and it's amazing what has been achieved with this car.
