Once in a blue moon, we get a nice normal answer. I do agree with him, that'd save a lot of time and money dude. Not to mention better mileage if you can stay outta boost!

P.S. I'm going to enjoy the rest of my Labor Day vacation before my C.O. calls me up for rescue efforts from that damned hurricane. Be safe and be careful 8) (I wasn't refering to the OP because he can't use the search feature)

theres already a tunnel in the galant in the middle, you'd have to widen it in the front by the firewall. i say go with a ls1, they but those in everything. too bad you'll never do it since your asking if its possible.

i have experience in a few swaps
i have to agree, doing the whole v8 in a galant sounds kinda well...GAY
    but to each his own
I have put a ls1 in an s-10, its a monster. But if for some odd reason you decide to go this route.
Just look for a 5.3 vortec 99 and up, plenty of power, and easy to find.

yeah but is it worth the money or the hassle ?? Doing it to be different, thats cool but if he is looking for power which I believe he is them he is better off building the block, swap the head and turboing the motor. With those done right you can be pushing 500hp like stewi is

like i said to each his own.
I got hammered on for swapping a 2.4 dohc out of PT Cruiser in a 98 neon that came with a 2.0 dohc
then when we turboed it, with a used srt-4 turbo and upped the fuel system.
the thing was pulling on stock srt's

so if you wanna do it, dont let anyone here slow you down.
    theres always someone hatin'

I'm pretty familiar with ls1,5.3 and any other chevy power plants.
    if any help needed LMK
