    extending airbag harness?

    so i have a spearco wheel and i wanna put it on but i dont want the airbag light on.. my question is can i extend the airbad harness and keep mt old stock steeringwheel behind my false wall in my trunk?

    just get the bulb out of the cluster. That was what i did when I had aftermarket steering wheel.Im back to stock now - safety is more important than being cool

    i wouldnt do that, if your only reason is to just not have the light on...it wouldnt make much sense...the srs does not effect inspections if thats what your worried about...well mechanically doesnt effect it, if the inspector is a hard ass and sees the light visually he can fail you, i would just keep the wheel and put it back on when you need an inspection if that is the case...personally i would try to sell the sparco one and just get a 3g one which retains the airbag, unless you really want to have the sparco one

    wouldnt i need a 2g one for a 7g tho?

    2g fits perfectly, but if you wanna get nice one that says MOMO on it I reccomend Evo 8 or 9 steering wheel

    eh maybe ill jus pull the bulb.. not tryin to spend big bucks just yet.. wanna finish my project n buy my school books first

    or you could just pull the module under the center console. I pulled mine and have no light.

    you just unplugged all the harnesses out of it? i still want to retain passanger arbag tho.

    Once you remove the driver bag the passenger is disabled also.
