2nd 5spd swap .....

Well like the title says I'm doing my second 5spd swap tomorrow. My first 8G was totaled and now I'm back at it with a v6 this time its already lowered with a Tein setup. Ill post pics and keep u guys updated as i go along pics to follow .....btw its good to be back

Pics of 5spd swap before it gets cleaned up and ready for install

after install was complete wouldn't shift into 2nd 4th and reverse, after troubleshooting found broken shifter cable and the cable alignment is off. New parts on order ..... 2 be continued

Was your last swap done on a v6 or a 4cyl ??

First swap was done on a 4 cyl it was super easy if anyone in jersey need help more than willing to lend a hand. As long as the ride is done tomorrow ill be there on the 19th most likely

What parts do you need ? Every time i've done my swap i got all parts within 2 days what parts do you need ill locate parts for you if you need help with that

Update ... i get to the tag shop to register and insure my g so i can get my swap done only to find out the bastard that sold me the car has a lein on it now i cant title the car till i get paper work whats a start to a great day .....

Part 2 now i go to pick up the parts and my card don't work ha what a day im going home grab a case and start the drinking ... what a day

Update 5spd swap completed 10-12-08 ... it was a tough weekend between working and fixing this car i have had no sleep. After install complete noticed the bracket that holds the clutch cables was almost broken, so have to order a new piece Tuesday other than that she drives like a beauty. Camera messed up no pics available unfortunately at this time but will update soon.

Thanks for the welcome back and its good to see a few of the original tgc members here i been gone so long its evolved lol
i used to work at pep boys behind Newport but i work in Manhattan by the the Holland tunnel . we can link up sometime its not far from my home and im always around pep boys
