    20g Turbo Question

I am looking for suggestions, reviews, other options, and some good information related to the following:

I found this on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/super...spagenameZWDVW

I was looking for an inexpensive turbo to break in the new motor. I was considering a used e16g but they go for about the same price of the ebay 20g. Also, it would be nice to break in the motor and make any tweaks that need to be made with the 20g, because the turbo that I will go with after the 1,000 mile mark will be a bigger turbo than the e16g and will probably be similar in flow to the 20g.

I am still undecided which turbo to go with after the 1,000 mile mark. SBR 50 trim, 20g, ???; I have no first hand knowledge with any of these turbos, so I can only go by the reviews, suggestions, and research that I have come across.

Keep in mind that this is not a daily driver and currently money is tight. I would like to get the motor running soon rather than waiting a while to save up for a REAL turbo. Also, I'm not sure if I want to chance damaging a good expensive turbo during the initial firing and break in of the new motor.

I'd grab a used MHI 16g over an ebay 20g. Sometimes these ebay turbos work bery well, while other times they are just a disaster waiting to happen. It's completely up to you. The spool characteristics of a 20g depends on the TD05H or TD06H housing. In the long run a modern day 50 trim will greatly outperform the old mitsu 20g.

wow I would think about re-sell value, b/c you are not going to be on that turbo that long so try and see what people are buying the most of... I know that the 16g will sell fast so just keep you options open....and wow I love your build..... did you just use 1g camshaft gears that is what it looks like..... Still cool... the relocation that you did was crazy never seen and I kind of don't know how it work still new and I love it.... Keep the updates coming....
8g tranny is being rebuilt and waiting on ground control coilovers
7g is just sitting motor and tranny is out(need to finish, just lazy)
6g (vr4) motor is out getting the good stuff like a gt4088 and some more stupid stuff.
    Nice to be back!!!!

    Thanks for the input fellas.

I am either going with a used e16g or will run N/A for the break in period, then upgrade to the turbo I end up going with.

Those are 4g64 cam gears. The a/c relocation was done by extending the wiring harness and making new cables from lawn mower throttle cable. Thanks for the interest, I will be updating that thread as progress is made.
